Hi Everyone,
Guess what...I made it!! I'm back in Sydney (Bondi Beach) and that means that the circle has closed. Started here about 10 months ago and boy, what does it seem a long time ago! So, here a short summery of Australia:
After I...
...have traveled more then 25.000km;
...and killed 1 cow, 1 falcon, 1 rat, 21 butterflies, some mozzie's, about a 1.000 frogs and a million grashoppers;
...had the extremes of 30 degrees at night and 55 degrees during the day;
...travelled with a total of 10 persons from 5 diffrent countries;
...have been in all 7 states of the mainland;
...saw thousends of kangaroo's, emu's and other wild live, but not a single platypus;
...and also met a lot of Ozzies, more Irish and even more Germans, but almost no Abbu's;
...and survived attacks from jelly fish, flies, a bird and a wombat with an ego;
...worked for 6 or 7 months and earned twice the money as at home;
...and also spent 4 times as much as at home;
...broke down in the middle of f*ckwhere twice, but also managed to get out of those sticky situations;
...and had to ask my dad for help a dozen of times (thnx daady-ho);
...experienced stress and fear, but found the currage to overcome them;
...and experienced fun as well as being popular; :)
...and found out what it is to be/travel alone as well as making friends quickly;
...having had an experience that is unique, both hard and joy, that tested me in multiple ways;
...and having found out that the dream/image I had about Oz, is not a 100% true...
...I can honestly say: I'm looking forward to coming home!
Al that stands in between is my dear old Mitch. Cause he served me well for most of the 10 months, but now the time has come to sell him. So that's what I'm doing now in Sydney. And if I find a job to work the remainder of my visa, I might do that as well. But for now, enjoy the evening and start fresh in the morning.

PS I. My god, I'm really back in civ. Couple of police cars with sirences just passed, can't remember last time that happened...

@ Robbert: wanneer is dat feestje??? Goeie party is nooit weg. En mooi prijsje...mooi smooi en alles is relatief was het gezegde geloof ik, toch?
@ Ben en Dani en Noah en Joshi en ???: we zien elkaar wel weer als ik terug ben. En zeg Noah dat ik hem dan in 3-delig pak verwacht, als een echt meneertje. ;)

Deze ervaringen neemt niemand je meer af en neem jij mee in alles wat je in je verdere leven nog zult gaan doen.

Echt heel fijn om te lezen Ralf! :)
Je hebt gedaan wat je wilde doen, en ik heb er nog altijd veel respect voor. We hebben de laatste tijd niet zoveel contact gehad, maar ik heb wel je verhalen gelezen (oke, de meeste dan ;)) en ik kan zien dat je veel geleerd, meegemaakt en gezien hebt!
Ik hoop dat ik je nog kan zien in Nederland voordat ik aan mijn eigen reis begin... (?) Zou ik leuk vinden in ieder geval.
